Decorative Plates from the Brass and Wood Atelier
Decorative plates meant to be seen — not filled. Our pieces combine hand-painted floral scenes (bouquets, toile, cartouche landscapes) on porcelain bodies with ornate brass easels in acanthus-scroll patterns. The easels are the art as much as the plates — substantial enough to work as standalone sculpture if the plate is ever swapped.
Detail: Rococo, Baroque styles worked in brass, crystal, silver. Techniques include hand-painted on acanthus, floral, and figural motifs.

Solid brass, not plated. Cast in our Cairo foundry. Weight you can feel.
Hand-finished. Chiseling, polishing, patina work — every piece passes through a human hand.

Common questions
Do the mirrors and frames come with mounting hardware?
Yes — heavy-duty French cleats or hooks, rated for 3x the piece's weight. Screws and wall anchors included. Installation instructions in the package.
Can mirrors be cut to a non-standard size?
The outer brass frames are fixed size. The mirror inserts can be replaced — if you need a specific dimension, message us with the frame you want and the mirror size you need; we'll quote for a custom mirror to fit.
What's the typical frame size?
Portrait-oriented frames accommodate standard photo/print sizes (A4, A3, 11x14, 16x20 inch). Cartouche and medallion shapes have rebate sizes listed on each product page.
Are your mirrors real glass or acrylic?
Real silvered mirror glass, 3mm thickness, proper reflection quality. Not acrylic. This is why pieces are weighty and ship in crates — for protection, not to pad the price.
