Bonbonnieres & Chocolate Platters
Bonbonnieres & Chocolate Platters
Crystal-and-brass bonbonnieres and gilt porcelain platters for Ramadan, Eid, and engagement tables.
Bonbonnieres & Chocolate Platters from the Brass and Wood Atelier
Our bonbonnieres are the pieces your grandmother kept for guests — now made to last another century. Imperial egg-form crystal with pinecone finials, cobalt porcelain gondolas, classical pedestals with ornate floral bases. These serve chocolates, nuts, dates, or simply stand as occasional art. The gilt work is real — applied by hand, not printed.
How we work
- Solid brass, not plated. Cast in our Cairo foundry. Weight you can feel.
- Hand-finished. Chiseling, polishing, patina work — every piece passes through a human hand.
- Dhl express worldwide shipping. Crated for international transit, insured in transit.
- 14-day return window. If the piece doesn't work in your space, it returns to us.
- Custom commissions accepted. Chandeliers, floor lamps, large sculptures — 6-12 week lead time.
Common questions
Are these pieces food-safe?
The bonbonnieres and platters have glazed ceramic or crystal surfaces that contact food. The brass mounts are decorative — food doesn't touch them. All materials are lead-free and safe for serving chocolates, nuts, dates, and similar.
Do you make larger platters for Ramadan iftars or engagement tables?
Yes. Standard diameter is 30-45cm; custom 60-75cm platters are available on 4-week commission for wedding and Ramadan hospitality sets.
Can I get matching pieces as a gift set?
Yes. Tell us the occasion (engagement, wedding hostess, new home) and how many pieces — we'll assemble a coordinated set and gift-box it. Hand-written card included at no charge.
How do I clean the gilt decoration?
Gentle wipe with a slightly damp soft cloth. Avoid ammonia-based cleaners and dishwashers — hand-wash only. Gilt will last decades if treated gently.
