Its generous ovoid body seems to bloom outward, as though the painted bouquets of rose, chrysanthemum, and violet pressed against the ivory porcelain from within, demanding to be seen.

The body is fashioned from fine white porcelain, hand-painted in the grand tradition of European manufactory decoration — each floral spray rendered with botanical precision and chromatic depth across a creamy ivory ground. Encircling the waist is a gallery of pierced brass ormolu, its acanthus-scroll lattice cast and hand-chased to a warm lustre. Twin swan-neck handles in cast brass arch elegantly from either side, while the pedestal foot and base collar are enriched with further repousséd foliate mounts.
