Decorative Plates

Hand-painted porcelain plates on Rococo brass easels, ribbon-crowned oval forms.

Decorative Plates from the Brass and Wood Atelier

Decorative plates meant to be seen, not filled. Our pieces combine hand-painted floral scenes (bouquets, toile, cartouche landscapes) on porcelain bodies with ornate brass easels in acanthus-scroll patterns. The easel is the art as much as the plate — substantial enough to work as standalone sculpture if the plate is ever swapped.

How we work

  • Solid brass. Cast in our Cairo foundry — weight you can feel.
  • Hand-finished. Chiseling, polishing, patina work on every piece.
  • Same-week delivery across egypt. Crated for transit, insured.
  • 14-day returns. If the piece doesn't work, it returns.
  • Custom commissions. Chandeliers, large sculptures — 6-12 week lead.

Common questions

Does mounting hardware come with the mirror or frame?

Yes — heavy-duty French cleats or hooks, rated for 3x the piece's weight. Screws and wall anchors included.

Can mirrors be cut to custom dimensions?

Outer brass frames are fixed size; mirror inserts can be replaced. Message us with your frame choice and needed mirror dimensions; we quote for a custom-cut replacement.

What frame sizes do you have?

Portrait frames take standard sizes (A4, A3, 11x14, 16x20 inch). Cartouche and medallion shapes have rebate sizes listed on each product page.

Are your mirrors real silvered glass or acrylic?

Real silvered mirror glass, 3mm thickness. Not acrylic. That's why our pieces are weighty and ship in crates — for protection, not padding the price.

Brass and Wood — a Cairo atelier working in solid brass and natural wood. We ship worldwide, with care.
