Censers & Incense Burners

Baroque crystal-and-brass censers, Arabesque lattice globes, faceted globe finials.

Censers & Incense Burners from the Brass and Wood Atelier

Bakhoor and incense burners in forms that belong on majlis consoles, prayer rooms, and entry tables. Baroque pieces pair crystal domes with brass bases and enamel floral inlay. Arabesque lattice globes let smoke curl through Islamic geometric patterns. Faceted-globe forms add Victorian formality. Safe for charcoal and bakhoor — brass dissipates heat. These are classical solid-brass pieces, not electric burners.

Common questions

Can I use charcoal and bakhoor in these censers?

Yes — brass bases are designed for heat. Place a ceramic or sand insert at the bottom for hot coals. For electric bakhoor, no insert needed.

How do I clean smoke residue?

Soft dry cloth first, then brass polish only if the piece is polished brass (not aged). Light wipe after each session prevents buildup.

Are these authentic to Egyptian/Arabic tradition?

Forms are classical — some Arabesque, some Baroque, some Victorian-Orientalist. Bakhoor tradition crosses cultures; these work with Saudi oud, Omani frankincense, or sandalwood.

Do you ship bakhoor or charcoal with censers?

No — we ship the piece only. Bakhoor and charcoal are available in every market we serve.

Brass and Wood — a Cairo atelier working in solid brass and natural wood. We ship worldwide, with care.
