The deeply undercut acanthus scrolls, pierced foliate cartouches, and cascading leaf clusters are hand-carved by artisans trained in the classical European tradition, each cut revealing the naturalistic energy that defines authentic Rococo ornament. The crowning crest — an open fretwork of interlaced ribbons anchored by a central rosette boss — rises above the oval plate in the manner of the great Parisian carvers. The mirror plate itself is clear bevelled glass, seated within the carved surround to maximise reflective depth.
