Design Inspiration

Rooted in the refined elegance of the Louis XVI court, this quartet of nesting service tables embodies the Neoclassical ideal of beauty united with function. The largest table's sweeping rounded-rectangle silhouette crowned by a pierced gilt-bronze gallery echoes the celebrated guéridons and servantes produced by the great Parisian ébénistes of the late 18th century. Each successive table steps down in scale while retaining every decorative detail, creating a harmonious ensemble that is as breathtaking nested together as it is deployed around a salon.

Materials & Finish

Every table is built on a solid hardwood frame stained to a deep, warm mahogany tone. The tops are adorned with intricate hand-laid marquetry featuring scrolling floral and foliate motifs executed in contrasting veneers. Ormolu-quality gilt-bronze mounts — pierced gallery rails on the principal table, acanthus-leaf corner mounts, and bead-and-reel apron trim — are cast and hand-chased before receiving a warm antique-gold finish. Slender tapered fluted legs conclude in polished brass sabots, lending the set a lightness that belies its exceptional solidity.
