Materials & Finish

The shaft and plinth are crafted from richly veined black marble — a material synonymous with aristocratic interiors — displaying natural grey veining that lends each piece a unique character. The Corinthian capital, the collar ring at the base of the shaft, and the ornamental cartouche on the plinth are cast in solid brass and finished in antique gilt bronze, replicating the luxurious ormolu mounts of the original Empire pieces.

Craftsmanship

Each column is hand-assembled by Brass & Wood artisans in Egypt, combining traditional stonemasonry with meticulous metalwork. The gilt bronze elements are individually cast, chased, and polished to achieve the warm, lustrous patina characteristic of authentic 19th-century ormolu. The cartouche on the plinth features a classical urn motif flanked by acanthus scrolls, a hallmark of Empire decorative vocabulary.
