Design Inspiration

Rooted in the refined elegance of late 18th-century Versailles, this abaya wardrobe draws its soul from the Louis XVI Neoclassical tradition — a period defined by symmetry, architectural grandeur, and restrained gilded ornamentation. The bold stepped cornice crowned with a central gilt cartouche, flanking acanthus scrolls, and swag-draped apron evoke the royal ateliers of Paris.

Materials & Finish

The carcase is constructed from kiln-dried solid mahogany, celebrated for its dimensional stability and warm reddish-brown grain. Every decorative mount — from the corner espagnolettes and rosette pulls to the foliate garland frieze — is individually cast in brass and hand-finished in antique gold. The twin doors are fitted with full-length bevelled mirrors framed by gilt brass borders, while the lower section features three spacious drawers with fleur-de-lis brass escutcheons.

Craftsmanship

Brass & Wood artisans in Egypt invest hundreds of hours in each piece: hand-carving the cornice relief, applying gilded brass mounts one by one, and fitting the mirrors with precision-cut bevelled glass. Tapered fluted legs echo classical column forms and complete the architectural composition. Dimensions: H 230 cm × W 130 cm × D 52 cm.
