Symmetrical composition, fluted tapered legs tipped with gilded sabots, and a central acanthus-scroll relief panel recall the grandeur of Versailles' state apartments. Two generously proportioned lower shelves—edged in antique brass bead moulding—provide both visual balance and functional display space, making this piece as practical as it is breathtaking.

Materials & Finish

The primary structure is hand-built from solid mahogany, celebrated for its rich warm grain and structural longevity. Satinwood parquetry veneers adorn the frieze drawers and side panels, creating a luminous contrast against the deeper mahogany ground. Every ormolu mount—from the laurel-wreath corner accents to the elaborate central trophy plaque—is individually hand-cast in brass and hand-chased to achieve a warm antique-gold patina that glows without the harshness of modern gilding.

Craftsmanship

Each console is assembled by Brass & Wood's master craftsmen in Egypt, drawing on generations of joinery and metal-working tradition. Mortise-and-tenon joinery reinforces every leg-to-rail junction; the marquetry panels are hand-cut and hand-laid piece by piece; and the carved central panel is executed entirely by hand with fine-detail gouges before receiving its brass-toned finish. The result is a heirloom-quality statement piece built to last centuries.
